Mayuan Village Fortified Settlement is a municipal-level cultural heritage site under the protection of Anqing City.

Mayuan Village Fortified Settlement is located in Mayuan Village, Laibang Town, Yuexi County, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

On October 23, 2012, Mayuan Village Fortified Settlement was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Laibang Town: Situated at the center of Yuexi County, Laibang Town is 23 kilometers from the county seat. Both National Highway 318 and Provincial Road 209 intersect in the town area, giving it a strategic location that has fostered a bustling hub for small commodities and local agricultural products. The town administers 12 administrative villages, 274 villager groups, with 5,711 households and a population of 22,660. Its total fiscal revenue is 1.2 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers is 1,370 yuan.

The total area covers 134 square kilometers, including 180,000 mu of mountainous land and 13,000 mu of cultivated land.
