Located at No. 238 Fengqi Road, Xiacheng District. Originally established as Zhejiang Official Two-Level Normal School, it was founded in 1906 against the backdrop of abolishing the imperial examination system and promoting modern schools in the late Qing Dynasty. After the Xinhai Revolution, it was renamed Zhejiang Provincial First Normal School. It was one of the renowned educational institutions in several southeastern provinces at the time and the cradle of Zhejiang's New Culture Movement. The famous "First Normal School Storm" broke out here in 1920. The site covers an area of 80,000 square meters. The original buildings consisted of seven courtyards, each with a linear floor plan, consisting of two-story brick-and-wood structures, with three rooms per courtyard connected by corridors. Today, the first courtyard building and the stone plaque inscribed with “Zhejiang Provincial First Normal School” still remain on campus. The first courtyard building has a total of 21 bays, with a total width of 70.56 meters and a depth of 10.63 meters. The stone plaque is housed in the school’s stele corridor.
