St. Michael's Church
St. Michael's Church is a protected cultural heritage site of Beijing Municipality.
St. Michael's Church is located at No. 14, Taijichang Street, Dongcheng District. Built in 1901, it was established by a French senior priest and is the last Catholic church constructed in Beijing.
On the north side of the courtyard is a two-story Western-style building made of gray bricks, serving as housing for clergy. The western church building is designed in the Gothic style and enshrines the archangel Michael. There are also 10 brick-built single-story rooms on the east side of the church. In 1986, the church underwent renovation and resumed religious activities, becoming a key cultural relic protection site in Dongcheng District.
