Wudao Temple
Wudao Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.
Wudao Temple is located at the intersection between Tieshu Xiejie and Yingtao Xiejie, at the western entrance of Hanjiatan in Xuanwu District.
The temple houses the Hall of the Jade Emperor, which contains a stele inscribed with an account written by Wang Xiangqian, Minister of War during the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era, stating that this site is the center of Zhengyang and the convergence point of the dragon veins of Xuanwu and Xheng districts. Therefore, a temporary palace of the Jade Emperor was built beside the temple, where various deities were enshrined to guard the area. Today, the Hall of the Jade Emperor no longer exists. Another theory suggests that it was built by eunuchs in honor of Wei Zhongxian to pray for peace and prosperity.
