Dayun Ecotourism Area

Dayun Ecotourism Area is a provincial-level tourist destination in Zhejiang Province, with a total planned area of 1.267 million square meters. It consists of an eco-agricultural park, an eco-resort zone, the Ten-Mile Water Town area, and the Dayun Temple Garden — collectively known as the "three zones and one garden." The planning is guided by the design concept of "enhancing environmental quality and advocating green consumption," built upon the rural ecological environment and themed around "green consumption." Focusing on leisure tourism in water towns and countryside settings, the area integrates sightseeing, relaxation, entertainment, and vacation to create a renowned “nature in the city” destination within the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region.

Currently, the Ten-Mile Water Town area and the Dayun Temple Garden have been constructed and are operating successfully with good returns. Among them, the "Ten-Mile Water Town" scenic area is one of the main highlights of Dayun Ecotourism Area. Centered on the authentic charm of a ten-mile stretch of classic water town scenery, it includes 17 attractions such as Lush Reeds, the World of Farmhouses, Ancient Bridge Legacy, and Rural Pastoral Ballads. Together, they form a new-age attraction where “shady greenbelts echo birdsong, clear waves ripple beneath boat rides, gentle breezes sweep willow-lined banks for fishing, and every riverside path is a view.” Visitors can take a small wooden boat to enjoy the pastoral scenery of the Jiangnan water town — wild trees and reed thickets line both riverbanks, egrets call cheerfully, and birdsong mingles with cicadas. On the grassy shores, cows moo and sheep bleat; on the water, white geese crane their necks in song, and cormorants dive for fish. The farmhouse area features sprawling melon vines, fruit trees, and blooming flowers. Here, visitors can truly experience the pastoral greenscapes, natural ecology, farming traditions, folk culture, and vacation lifestyle of the Jiangnan water town.
