Sanguantang Bridge is located within Longding Community on the south side of Pingshan Street in Luoxing Subdistrict. The 1875 edition of the Jiashan County Annals states that in the second year of the Wanli era (1574) during the Ming Dynasty, Magistrate Li Shihua and others initiated the bridge's construction, which was completed the next year and originally named Jianlong Bridge. In the 44th year of the Wanli era (1616), a small temple called Sanguantang was built south of the bridge, after which it became known as Sanguantang Bridge. It was destroyed during the warfare of the 10th year of the Xianfeng era (1860) and was rebuilt in the 7th year of the Tongzhi era (1868) through fundraising efforts led by local resident Xu Jingbang and others. In December 1986, it was listed as a county-level cultural relic protection unit.
Covering an area of 113 square meters, Sanguantang Bridge is a single-arch stone bridge oriented north–south, spanning the southern moat. It is 31 meters long, with a bridge deck 2.8 meters wide and bridge abutments 3.7 meters wide. The arch rise is 5.3 meters, and the span is 9.6 meters. The arch ring features a longitudinal linked and segmented masonry style, and the bridge railing consists of bench-style balustrades without balusters. There are 29 steps and one platform on both the northern and southern sides. As a relatively old yet well-preserved structure, it serves as a tangible example for the study of Qing Dynasty bridges.
On December 15, 1986, Sanguantang Bridge was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiashan County.
