On June 7, 2010, No. 5, Lane 2, West River Street, Shen Family Residence was designated as a cultural relics protection unit of Jiashan County.

Gan Yao Town: Located in the central part of Jiashan County in northern Zhejiang, Gan Yao Town is adjacent to the county seat of Wei Tang. The town covers an area of 38 square kilometers and has a population of 41,000, including 15,000 migrants. It enjoys convenient transportation, being approximately 4 kilometers from the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway, the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway, and National Highway 320. The under-construction Shenjiahuhu Expressway runs through the area. It lies 90 kilometers east of Shanghai, 100 kilometers west of Hangzhou, and 90 kilometers north of Suzhou.
