On June 7, 2010, Daijialou was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiashan County.

Tianning Town: The ancient water town of Tianning is situated in the northwest of Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province, on the Hangjiahu Plain, in the hinterland of Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou — a prime location within the golden Yangtze River Delta region. It lies 90 kilometers east of the international metropolis Shanghai, 110 kilometers west of the provincial capital Hangzhou, 60 kilometers north of the key southern Jiangsu city Suzhou, and 45 kilometers east of the major port of Zhapu. The Hongqi Pond runs through the area, connecting the Huangpu River to the east and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to the west. The town covers an area of 21.7 square kilometers with a population of 22,000.
