Qinglong Bridge

Located on Xizhuang Street in Dayun Town and built during the Qing Dynasty. In May 2011, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site. The bridge covers an area of 48 square meters, is a single-arch stone bridge, with a total length of 15.9 meters, a deck width of 2.9 meters, and an approach width of 3 meters. The arch ring is constructed using the method of longitudinal jointing with segmented parallel placement, and there are 19 steps on both the east and west sides. This bridge is the oldest existing bridge within Dayun Town and holds certain historical value.

Qinglong Bridge is situated just over ten meters southeast of Dayun Temple. Dayun Temple is a historic temple in Jiashan, once renowned for its widespread Buddhist teachings and flourishing incense offerings, while Qinglong Bridge served as the main passage for worshippers entering and exiting the temple. Although Dayun Temple was rebuilt in 2001 and regained its former glory, Qinglong Bridge became a dead-end bridge after a concrete bridge for vehicles was constructed nearby, leading to its decline and neglect. The bridge deck suffered severe damage and was restored by Dayun Town in 2015.

Dayun Town: Located at the southern end of the county, Dayun Town is traversed by the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway and the Shanjiang First-Class Highway, making it the first exit connecting the Zhejiang section of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway to Shanghai's Pudong area. The town covers a total area of 28.7 square kilometers, including 24,780 mu of arable land. It governs one residents' committee and eight administrative villages, with a total population of 15,114. It is one of the first batch of industrial satellite towns approved for opening up by Zhejiang Province and has successively been awarded titles such as Provincial Sanitary Town, Provincial Strong Education Town, Municipal Civilized Town, Top Ten Towns in Jiaxing for Foreign Investment Utilization, and China’s Hometown of Fresh-Cut Flowers.
