Dagankan Ancient Village Ruins
The Dagankan Ancient Village ruins are a cultural relics protection unit of Changxing County.
The ruins of the Dagankan Ancient Village are located in Dagankan, Xinyuan Natural Village, Xin’an Village, Meishan Town, Changxing County, dating back to the Song and Ming dynasties, and are classified as an ancient site.
In January 2010, the Dagankan Ancient Village ruins were designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.
Xin’an Village: Located in the mountainous region of northwest Zhejiang, Xin’an Village in Meishan Town boasts pleasant scenery. The village is home to ancient ginkgo and wingnut trees over a hundred years old, and enjoys well-preserved ecological surroundings. It is the seat of the Meishan Town government as well as the location of both the old and new development zones of the town, offering convenient transportation. The village has a total of 571 mu of arable land, including 443 mu of paddy fields and 128 mu of dry land, along with 9,852 mu of forested land, characterized by the hilly terrain typical of northern Zhejiang.
