Wu Residence at Dajiekou
The Wu Residence at Dajiekou is a cultural heritage conservation unit of Changxing County.
The Wu Residence at Dajiekou is located in Dajiekou Natural Village, Dajiekou Village, Xiaopu Town, Changxing County. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.
In August 2003, the Wu Residence at Dajiekou was designated as a county-level cultural heritage conservation unit.
Dajiekou Village: Situated at the lower end of Badu Gorge within the “Ten-Mile Ancient Ginkgo Corridor,” Dajiekou Village borders Fangyan Village to the east and Liuhedu Village of Huaikan to the west. The village is built along the mountain and stream in a linear layout. With its thousand-year-old ancient temple, unique old residences, and Huizhou-style dwellings complementing each other, it forms a cohesive whole, giving visitors the feeling of being “in a village amidst the forest, with houses among the trees and people in a painting.”
The total area of the village is 2.1 square kilometers, with 1,141 mu of arable land and 8,669 mu of forested land.
