Zhu Zhongsan’s Residence
Zhu Zhongsan’s Residence is located at No. 1 Dongguanmiao Lane, Dinghai Chengguan, and was built during the Republican era. It faces south and covers a land area of 1,008 square meters, with a building area of 1,218 square meters. The current structures include the entrance gate, main house, left and right wing rooms (with upper floors), and enclosing walls. The main house has five bays, with a total width of 21.55 meters and a total depth of 14.70 meters. It features a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, and is constructed with a combination of brick, wood, and stone. The front eaves have a porch, and the upper-level porch is fitted with a coffered ceiling, all finely carved. The upper floor is equipped with vase-shaped railings. All the doors and windows in the building are Western-style square-framed glass ones. The residence is well preserved.
