Moon Bay on Cezi Island, Zhoushan
The Moon Bay Scenic Area on Cezi Island is located at Mentou Mountain on Cezi Island, Cezi Township, in the northwest of Dinghai District, Zhoushan City. It is 22 kilometers from the ancient city of Dinghai and 19 kilometers from Beilun, Ningbo. The scenic area lies adjacent to the Xihoumen Bridge, a steel box girder suspension bridge with the second longest main span in the world and the longest in China. The majestic bridge, especially under the setting sun, displays both fierce grandeur and delicate beauty, with strength and grace blending seamlessly into one harmonious whole.
Cezi Island is traversed by the Xihoumen Bridge and the Taoyaomen Bridge. The golden Xihoumen Suspension Bridge and the sky-blue Taoyaomen Double-Tower Cable-Stayed Bridge, with their majestic white structures and varied designs, blend with the lush island forests, rugged coastal bedrock, and vast blue skies and seas to form a uniquely stunning new island tourism landscape. The area preserves an authentic local culture, with fresh and natural island customs, including well-preserved ancient villages and residences in the style of Qing Dynasty folk houses, as well as the ancestral home of Ding Guangxun, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
