The statues of the Three Generals stand atop Zhushan Park in Dinghai District

In September 1841, British forces launched another attack on Zhoushan. The “Three Generals” of Dinghai’s resistance against the British—Ge Yunfei, Zheng Guohong, and Wang Xipeng—led 5,800 soldiers in a six-day and six-night bloody battle, all sacrificing their lives.
