The Newly Built Community Cultural Hall is a patriotic education base.
The Newly Built Community Cultural Hall is located in Nandong Art Valley, Xinjian Community, in the southern part of Ganlan Town on Zhoushan Main Island. It covers an area of 1,300 square meters, with a construction area of 700 square meters. The entire cultural hall follows the architectural style of traditional Jiangnan quadrangle dwellings, built on the original site of the "Tashan Temple." In line with the goals of "serving educational and promotional functions, being convenient for villagers to view, and beautifying the village landscape," the hall includes four exhibition rooms focusing on themes such as village history and conditions, local customs, reverence for virtue and talent, and the vision of a beautiful homeland. It is dedicated to becoming a new spiritual and cultural landmark for rural areas and a patriotic education hub for citizens. Since its opening in October 2013, it has received a total of 40,000 visitors, including 25,000 students.

Xinjian Village: Xinjian Community is located in the northwest of Ganlan Town, nestled in a mountain valley with low-lying terrain, surrounded by mountains on three sides. It consists of three natural villages: Huangsha, Nandong, and Lichen. Established in December 2004, the community spans a total area of 3 square kilometers, with 1,157 mu of arable land and 5,613 mu of forested land. The community has 500 households, a population of 1,588, and 18 villager groups. There are 8 Party groups and 63 official Party members.
