Hengxi Town in Xianju is an ancient market town surrounded by numerous scenic spots.

Dream Three Gorges: Located at the Beisi Yankeng Reservoir in Hengxi Town, it features steep cliffs on both sides. Drifting along the bamboo rafts through the winding waterways, you’ll find a cool, serene, and mysterious world — hence the name “Dream Three Gorges.”

Cangling Red Maples: Stretching from Canglingkeng Village in Hengxi Town in the south to Nantian Village in Jinyun County in the north, the total length is over 5 kilometers. This is an ancient pathway, once a vital route to the inland areas, flanked by towering mountains on both sides with precipitous cliffs. The slopes along the ancient road are covered with maple trees. In late autumn, when frost paints the maples crimson, they glow like morning clouds or a sea of fire, making “Cangling Red Maples” one of the ancient Eight Scenic Spots of Xianju.

Pingfeng Rock: Located about 8 kilometers west of Hengxi Town. A cliff over 500 meters long stands like a massive screen, cutting across the horizon. This cliff can be further divided into four sections: Little Screw Rock, Big Screw Rock, Elephant Rock, and Pingfeng Rock. Among them, Pingfeng Rock rises over 130 meters high, with its summit seemingly touching the clouds and a natural stone gate standing in the way, creating an awe-inspiring sight. The top of the rock spans 15,000 square meters, dotted with fruit trees and green bamboos, offering a tranquil and secluded atmosphere. Nearby attractions include Sawtooth Rock, Longtan Waterfall, Elephant Trunk Rock, Bottomless Cave, and Tiger’s Mouth.
