Located in Xiazhao Lane, Yuetaun Village, Chengguan Town. Built in the 26th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1547). Made of white stone. Total height: 3.45 meters. The upper part is the lantern house, open in the front and solid at the back, with “fire”-shaped window holes carved on both sides, with inner space for placing lamps; the lower part is the lamp pillar, with a square column body, 0.35 meters wide and 0.29 meters thick. The front is inscribed with a couplet: “The pillar stands in the southeast, bringing the people back to simplicity; the light responds to the brilliance of the stars, reviving literary spirit.” The back is inscribed with the text: “Erected on the auspicious day of mid-spring in the Dingwei year (1547) of the Jiajing reign of the Great Ming.” Both sides bear inscriptions with the names of donors, and there is a crack in the middle section of the pillar. Though relatively simple in style, the stone lantern pillar is well-preserved and has a clear date of construction, making it of significant value for the study of the history of municipal construction.
