Open-air Ancient Theater in Shanxiavillage
Located on "Jianhu Lake" in Shanxiavillage, Botan Township, Xianju County, it was built in the 10th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1830). The stage has a square floor, with stone pillars that are round at the top and square at the bottom. Its roof features upturned eaves and flying corners, giving it an ancient charm, grand and majestic presence.
In September 1999, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection site.
Shanxiavillage: Located 1 kilometer from the government of Botan Township, Shanxiavillage is traversed by Provincial Highway 35, offering very convenient transportation. The village covers an area of 1 square kilometer, with a total of 6 groups, 280 households, and 878 residents. The village has 41 Party members, 317 acres of arable land, and 2,350 acres of mountainous land. The village collective economy enjoys stable annual income sources, mainly from forest management, collective orchards, land contracting, and tourism development. The village has well-developed cultural facilities and a rich community cultural life.
