Overview: This mountain park has three entrances—Dongfeng, Yantou, and Qianyuan—covering an area of approximately 1.02 square kilometers, or about 1,530 acres. According to reporters on site, construction is currently underway at the three entrances and the main entrance plaza, allowing visitors to access the mountain through any of the three.

Highlights: The park includes a tea-tasting and leisure area, with construction set to begin in the second half of the year and completion expected by the end of the year. At that time, visitors who are tired from hiking can stop by the tea area to sit down and enjoy a cup of hot tea.

Driving route: Visitors driving can access the park via Ouhai Avenue or from Louqiao Subdistrict to Yantou Village. They can park their vehicles in the Yantou Village parking lot and then hike up the mountain along the mountain path.

Pingtianhuo Park is located in the northern part of Cuotai Mountain Forest Park, south of Ouhai Avenue, with a mountain area of about 1.02 square kilometers. The first phase of the project has an investment of approximately 100 million yuan.

Being situated in Cuotai Mountain, the park naturally boasts stunning scenery, including attractions such as Lotus Rock, Bat Cave, Nine Dragons Pool, and Peach Blossom Pool. It is also home to historical sites such as the ancient temples Wuliang Fan Yin Temple and Baiyun Temple, built during the Jin Dynasty, Xu Gong Cave, the legendary site where the immortal Xu Zhenjun refined elixirs, the flute-playing platform of Prince Jin, and the tomb of Sun Yirang.

The area was also once a key base of activity for the 13th Red Army of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army, and a monument commemorates the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the battles at Baiyun Mountain. Such a “richly endowed” mountain park is rare in Wenzhou. Imagine strolling amidst such breathtaking scenery and profound history, then taking a moment to sit in the park’s teahouse, sipping a freshly brewed cup of tea, and savoring life amid the tranquil fragrance—a truly unique experience.

Construction of the park’s walking trails began in November and was completed on January 1, 2013. The mountain access road, the three entrances, the former helipad plaza, and corresponding pavilions and teahouses are scheduled to be completed and open to the public by the end of 2013.
