The Chicken Crowning Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Longyou County.

The Chicken Crowning Tower is located on Chicken Crowning Mountain in the southeastern suburbs of the county town and was built during the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. It is a six-sided, seven-story hollow brick pagoda of the pavilion style. It stands 21.4 meters tall, with its base constructed from strip stones. Each level’s waist eaves are formed by four layers of corbelled brackets. The pagoda shows a distinct tapering shape, particularly pronounced in the top two stories. Under the eaves of each level are brick “one-dou-three-sheng” brackets, and the eaves corners are adorned with brick carvings. The top three stories house bells, with the upper ones producing louder sounds. The pagoda is elegant and solemn, offering a distant view of the county town. However, it has suffered considerable damage over time. In 1982, it was listed as a county-level cultural relic protection unit.
