Nanxun Wen Garden

Nanxun Wen Garden is a cultural tourism attraction and a patriotic education base.

Located within the Nanxun Scenic Area, it is surrounded by rivers, features a central lake, lies adjacent to Jiangnan Water Town Street to the north, and is close to attractions such as Xiaolianzhuang and Jiaye Hall Library. The surrounding environment is elegant and the scenery picturesque.

Nanxun Wen Garden is a modern garden that combines the charm of Jiangnan-style landscaping and ancient architecture with leisure functions. It features the “Three Halls and One Corridor”: the Long March Memorial Hall of the Red Army, inscribed by General Zhang Aiping; the Wu Shougu Art Museum, inscribed by [name omitted]; the Xu Chi Memorial Hall, inscribed by Mr. Huang Miaozi; and the Nanxun Celebrity Corridor, which showcases eighty distinguished local figures and scholars.

The garden also includes a traditional farming and folk culture-themed rural amusement park that recreates the rural life of Jiangnan in modern times, a children’s playground centered around a miniature Tiananmen, a large bonsai garden featuring ancient tree stumps, and multiple attractions along the Celebrity Poetry Corridor.

The overall layout of the garden is divided into northern and southern sections, connected by a sky bridge. The southern section mainly consists of a Jiangnan-style garden, surrounded by a children’s playground, a large bonsai garden, and the Celebrity Poetry Corridor. The northern section centers around the Wenchang Pavilion on the lake, surrounded by the Celebrity Poetry Corridor, the Long March Memorial Hall of the Red Army, the Wu Shougu Art Museum, the Xu Chi Memorial Hall, and Ming Dynasty stone lions among other attractions.

Nanxun Town: Nanxun is a prosperous and culturally rich ancient town in Jiangnan. Its geographical coordinates are between 120°25’–120°26’ east longitude and 30°52’–30°53’20” north latitude. It is situated on the shore of Taihu Lake, bordering Suzhou, and serves as the eastern gateway for Huzhou connecting to Shanghai’s Pudong area. The Chang-Hu-Shen waterway and National Highway 318 run through the town, giving it a superior geographical location and convenient land and water transportation.
