Shezhong Longevity Bridge

The Shezhong Longevity Bridge is a cultural relics protection unit of Huzhou City.

The Longevity Bridge is located in Shezhong Village, Linghu Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

In January 2003, the Longevity Bridge was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

Shezhong Village: Located 8 kilometers southwest of Linghu Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Shezhong Village administers 18 natural villages and 38 villager groups, covering a current area of 5.5 square kilometers. The seat of the village, Shezhong Village (formerly known as She Village), is one of the well-known ancient villages in Huzhou City. It is also called Stone Village or Baoxi. The Qing-era “Guian County Annals” recorded: “There used to be a market here, named Shezhong Village Market.” It is the legendary site where the archer Houyi shot down nine suns, and the ancient village thus got its name.
