Baoxu Bridge

Baoxu Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Huzhou City.

Baoxu Bridge is located in Shezhong Village, Linghu Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

In February 2011, Baoxu Bridge was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site.

Shezhong Village: Located 8 kilometers southwest of Linghu Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Shezhong Village encompasses 18 natural villages and 38 villager groups, covering a current area of 5.5 square kilometers. The village seat, Shezhong Village (originally named She Village), is one of Huzhou’s well-known ancient villages. It is also called Shicun and alternatively known as Baoxi. The Qing Dynasty’s “Guian County Annals” recorded: “There used to be a market here, called Shezhong Village Market.” It is the legendary site where the archer Houyi shot down nine suns, and the ancient village derives its name from this story.
