The Suzhou Industrial Park Youth Activity Center is a science education base.

The Suzhou Industrial Park Youth Activity Center is situated to the north of Modern Avenue and on the east side of Nanshi Street, adjacent to “Baitang Botanical Garden.” It is an important part of education in Suzhou Industrial Park, a major platform for promoting quality-oriented education, a key window for spreading socialist spiritual civilization, and a cradle where young people can apply what they have learned, cultivate their sentiments, explore innovation, and develop their potential.

The entire building of the Suzhou Industrial Park Youth Activity Center resembles a blooming flower, full of vitality. Especially during the twilight hours when the lights first come on, as those radiant and colorful lights bloom, the “Center” becomes even more dazzling and resplendent, glittering with a spectrum of colors. It looks like a crystal palace from a fairy tale inlaid along Modern Avenue, delivering a strong modern visual impact. It is set to become one of the “landmark buildings of Suzhou Industrial Park.”

The “Center” covers an area of approximately 19,500 square meters, with a construction area of 35,026 square meters. The main structure has four floors above ground, with partial five-floor sections, and includes one basement level. As a project presented in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Park, it officially commenced operations in May 2009.

The establishment of the Suzhou Industrial Park Youth Activity Center is an important initiative by the Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee and the Park Management Committee to accelerate and promote the development of extracurricular activity venues for young people, and to implement the “Guidelines of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Further Strengthening and Improving the Ideological and Moral Development of Minors.” It will undoubtedly play a significant role in strengthening the ideological and moral development of young people in the Park, advancing quality-oriented education, and actively carrying out educational activities such as science and technology popularization, arts and sports training, and labor skill development for minors. This will promote the all-round development of minors in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education. Here, the center will be a noble temple of art and a joyful learning paradise in the lives of children. What children will experience here is not only the charm of art and the wonder of knowledge, but more importantly, the blossoming of their happiness and success, and the soaring of their joy and dreams. Currently, the preparatory team has largely completed the demonstration of operational plans, budget estimates for operating expenses, and adjustments to functional positioning, all based on fully highlighting the core concepts of “science and technology, health, art, and culture.”
