The Luodun Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou.

The Luodun Site

Located in Luodun Village, Liantang Town, Shanghu Town, it is an earthen mound approximately 4 meters above the ground, measuring 30 meters from east to west and 20 meters from north to south. In 1993, the Changshu Museum and the Suzhou Museum jointly conducted a rescue excavation, discovering ten tombs from the Liangzhu period, four human skeletons, and over 200 burial objects primarily consisting of jade artifacts. The Luodun Site holds significant value for revealing the Neolithic cultural sequence of the Taihu Lake Basin, exploring the social structure of the Liangzhu civilization, and even studying the origins of Chinese civilization. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in June 1993.
