He Xiangguan Zhang Mansion is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou.

Located at No. 4 He Xiangguan in the urban area, it was originally a residence of the Zhang family during the Qing Dynasty and now houses the “Yushan School Seal Engraving Art Museum.” The building faces south with a flush gable roof and a brick-and-timber structure. There are four courtyards still in existence, largely well-preserved, covering a construction area of approximately 643 square meters. The first courtyard is a single-story structure with five bays and five rafters, spanning 14.1 meters in width and 4.5 meters in depth. The second courtyard is a main hall named “Fangcun Qianchuan,” featuring three bays and seven rafters, with single-story side rooms on both sides, spanning 15.3 meters in width and 5.7 meters in depth. The third courtyard is also a main hall with three bays and seven rafters, with single-story side rooms on both sides, spanning 19.4 meters in width and 9.2 meters in depth. It uses moon beams and bracket sets, with granite column bases, a front-facing upturned eave, and a rear corridor. Currently, the second and third courtyards have been converted into seal engraving art exhibition rooms. The fourth courtyard is a single-story structure with five bays and seven rafters, spanning 18.2 meters in width and 8.6 meters in depth. In terms of layout, it forms a quadrangle with the wing rooms on both sides and the adjacent courtyard, representing a typical large residence of a wealthy family in Changshu during the Qing Dynasty. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in November 1982.
