The Zhao Family Carved Flower Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City.

The Zhao Family Carved Flower Hall

Located at No. 16 Wuqiao Lane in the urban area, it was built in the late Qing Dynasty by the local Zhao family. The structure faces south with a northern orientation, features a flush gable roof, and is made of brick and wood. Three sections remain, all single-story buildings, with a total floor area of 115.92 square meters. The first section has an overall width of 6.2 meters and a depth of 4.8 meters, with colored paintings preserved on its beams. The second section has an overall width of 8.2 meters and a depth of 2.8 meters. The third section is the Carved Flower Hall, with an overall width of 7.8 meters and a depth of 8.0 meters. Its wood, brick, and stone carvings are exquisitely crafted with superb techniques. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in November 1982.
