Changshou Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou City.

Changshou Bridge

Located on Fushui Rock of Jinfeng Peak (commonly known as Zushi Mountain) in Yushan, the bridge spans between two cliffs. It was built during the Ming Dynasty's Jiajing era by Yan Neng, who served as Minister of Personnel, Grand Secretary of the Wuying Hall, and was a native of the area, at the same time as he constructed the Zhenwu Temple on Fushui Rock. In the 19th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1893), Daoji, the abbot of Zanghai Temple, renovated the bridge. The current bridge is a single-arch flat bridge oriented from east to west, with bluestone used for the foundation piers. The bridge deck is formed by three parallel granite slabs. It is 15 meters in total length, with a square arch spanning 4 meters in clear width and 1.5 meters in width, and an arch rise of 4.9 meters. The southern beam end is inscribed with the characters “Changshou Bridge,” accompanied by smaller text: “Built by Yan Wenjing of the Ming Dynasty, renovated in the 19th year of Guangxu (1893).” It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in November 1982.
