Yingyang Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou City.

Located south of Wangzhuang Town in Shanghu Town, it spans the Wangzhuang River. According to its architectural style and the inscriptions on the stone stele at the southern end of the bridge, it was built in the mid-Qing Dynasty. The current structure is a single-arch stone bridge oriented from north to south, constructed with granite. It has a rise of 5.3 meters, a central width of 3.1 meters, and a total length of 25.1 meters. The stone slab at the apex of the arch is engraved with a cloud-dragon Taiji diagram, and the beam-supporting stones are inscribed with the three characters “Yingyang Bridge.” The couplets carved on the bridge pillars were plastered over with cement during the Cultural Revolution. In 1999, during restoration, the original sloped steps were replaced with a mostly flat surface, and both ends were fitted with 29 steps. The railings were extended, and the balustrades were carved with lions. Two pairs of couplets were restored: the eastern couplet features the phrase “Namo Amitabha” on both sides, while the western couplet reads, “In the distance, the lake’s hues are swallowed whole, as smooth as a mirror; nearby, the mountain’s glow is drawn in, still fragrant.” It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in 1982.
