Huayang Bridge is a Suzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Huayang Bridge

Located at the eastern end of Heng Street in Huayang Village, Shajiabang Town, it spans Jinzhuangbang and is commonly known as Jinzhuangbang Bridge. Originally built in the 57th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1792), it was renovated in 2004. The bridge runs from north to south and currently features a single-arch design. The arch ring uses the method of longitudinal jointing with separate sections arranged side-by-side and is constructed of granite. It has a rise of 4 meters, a central width of 2.9 meters, a span of 8.9 meters, a total length of 24.5 meters, with 27 steps at each end. The bridge lintel is inscribed with the three characters “Huayang Bridge,” and each of the two side pillars features a couplet. The overall structure of the bridge is well-preserved and exhibits a strong style of traditional bridges from Changshu. It was designated as a Changshu Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit in June 1999.

Huayang Village: Huayang Village was formed through the merger of the former XinYu, Yangxi, and Hedong villages. It is located in the eastern part of Shajiabang Town, bordering Shipai Town and Baimao in Kunshan City to the east; connecting to Xinhu Village to the south; merging with the town center to the west; and adjacent to Tangdong Village to the north. The eastern ring road of the town runs north-south through the village, connecting to Xitai Road to the north and Changkun Road to the south. The Jinzhuangbang River flows east-west along the village and connects to Youjing River to the west and Baimao Pond River to the east. The village currently has 502 acres of arable land and over 7,000 acres of aquaculture area. It has a population of 3,232 people, 946 households, and comprises 15 villager groups. … Huayang Village detailed information++
