The Residence at No. 1 Wuqiao Lane is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou.

Residence at No. 1 Wuqiao Lane

Located on Wuqiao Lane in the urban area, it is a Qing Dynasty building constructed with brick and wood and topped with a flush gable roof. There are three surviving courtyards, all of which are well-preserved, with a total construction area of 405.30 square meters. Layout-wise, the three courtyards are arranged from north to gradually southwest, forming an arc. The first courtyard is single-story, with a total width of 11.7 meters and a total depth of 8.5 meters. The second and third courtyards share a connected west gable wall and are both two-story buildings, with total widths of 12.6 and 13.7 meters respectively, and total depths of 6.6 and 9.1 meters respectively. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in June 2009.
