Located at No. 12 Tongjiangqiao Road in the urban area, it was originally a study room named “Yi’ai Studio” in the residence of Zeng Yongsun, a member of the CPC Changshu Special Branch. It is the east wing room of the second courtyard, featuring a convex floor plan, a nine-rafter beam structure, and a rolled shed-style gable-and-purlin roof. The room spans 4.7 meters in width and 4.55 meters in depth. The site has largely retained its original appearance. In February 1926, Zeng Peihong (also known as Li Qiang), then an alternate member of the Communist Youth League Jiangsu-Zhejiang Regional Committee and a member of the CPC, was assigned by the CPC Jiangsu-Zhejiang Regional Committee to return to his hometown of Changshu to establish party organizations. He founded the first CPC organization in Changshu’s history — the CPC Changshu Special Branch (a combined party and league unit). This place served as a regular meeting site for the Special Branch. It was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit on November 17, 1982.
