Located in Xiqiao Group, Miaojiao Village, Zhangqiao Community, Xinzhuang Town, its original construction date is unknown, but it was renovated in the 44th year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty. The bridge runs east-west and is a three-section flat stone bridge. The bridge deck consists of two stone slabs, supported by two piers, each made of two rectangular stone bars placed side by side. The bridge has a height of 2.1 meters, a central width of 1 meter, a deck stone thickness of 0.26 meters, and an overall length of 12.2 meters. The southern stone bars of both piers are inscribed with the Buddhist phrase “Namo Amitabha” and lotus patterns; the northern stone bars of the piers are engraved with the phrases “Zhang□□, Weng□□□ donated to build this bridge” and “Reconstructed in the second month of spring, the 44th year of Kangxi, by Lüqing Hall□□□; □□35th year, third month of spring□,” respectively. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in June 2013.
