Shijia Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou.

Located in Zhangjiaqiao Village, Zhangqiao Community, Xinzhuang Town, the bridge was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, but the builder remains unknown. Spanning the Shijia Bridge River and running from north to south, it is a single-span flat stone bridge. The bridge has an arch height of 2.7 meters, a central width of 1.6 meters, an approach width of 1.9 meters, and a deck made up of three stone slabs, each 0.28 meters thick, with a span of 3.7 meters and a total length of 9.4 meters. Steps are provided at both approaches. The stone slabs on the eastern and western sides of the bridge deck are inscribed with the three large characters “Shijia Bridge,” as well as “Guangxu Dinghai Early Spring” and “Reconstructed by Zhang??.” Along the inner side of the riverbanks beneath both ends of the bridge, there are two bluestone slabs engraved with dozens of lines of text, among which one slab on the eastern side of the northern bridge approach features the three large characters “Shijia Bridge” and dozens of lines of inscription carved from east to west, while the texts on the other slabs have become too worn to be deciphered. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Changshu City in June 2013.
