The renowned “Four Masters of Jinling”—Lin Sanzhi, Xiao Xian, Gao Ershi, and Hu Xiaoshi—have their respective memorial halls, which were successively completed between 1992 and 2004. These halls are located on the scenic Qiuyu Mountain in the main urban area of Pukou District, Nanjing. The “Four Halls” cover an area of 60 acres, with a built-up area of 5,200?, and a green coverage rate of over 90%. They house a collection of more than a thousand master-level calligraphy and painting works of exceptional artistic and economic value.

Qiuyu Mountain is situated along the Yangtze River, bordered by the river to the south and backed by Laoshan Mountain to the north. It is a rare geomantic treasure in the Nanjing area, blessed with abundant natural resources and remarkable people. With profound cultural heritage, a superior geographical location, fresh air, and pleasant seasons, it offers tranquility amidst bustle and convenient transportation. Both its natural and cultural landscapes are breathtaking.

Over the past decade, tens of thousands of visitors from home and abroad have come to Qiuyu Mountain with the devoutness of pilgrims, seeking the traces of the masters through calligraphy, paintings, and poetry. They are filled with admiration, and their souls are nourished like spring rain. Central leaders, former leaders, as well as Shen Peng, former chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, former Japanese Prime Minister Toshiki Kaifu, and cultural tourism delegations from Japan, South Korea, France, the Philippines, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan have visited the site for inspection and study on multiple occasions.

Currently, the Qiuyushan Cultural Celebrity Memorial Hall scenic area has become a distinctive and culturally rich cluster of celebrity memorial halls in Jiangsu and even across China. It serves as an important hub for cultural development at the provincial, municipal, and district levels, recognized as a civilized unit at all these levels. It is also a social practice base for teenagers in Jiangsu Province, a calligraphy training base of the Jiangsu Calligraphers Association, a patriotic education base in Nanjing, one of the twenty major celebrity memorial halls in China, and a cultural quality education base for primary, middle, and high schools in the urban area. It is an ideal place for people from around the world to exchange calligraphy skills and a window for cultural exchange.
