The Jiangchengzi Ancient Cultural Site is a Nanjing Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Jiangchengzi Ancient Cultural Site [200 meters southwest of Linjiaxia Village, Xijie Neighborhood Committee, Qiaolin Subdistrict • Zhou • Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit] covers an area of approximately 7,000 square meters, with a height of about 7 meters and a cultural layer about 4.5 meters thick. It was discovered in 1958. In 1983, 570 square meters were excavated, and the archaeological findings were published in Southeast Culture, Issues 1 and 2, 1990. The relics are divided into four periods: early Western Zhou, late Western Zhou, early Spring and Autumn, and late Spring and Autumn to early Warring States. Artifacts include sandy red pottery shards, polished black-surfaced pottery shards, geometric patterned pottery shards, with decorations categorized into incised, appliqué, and stamped designs—among which there are dozens of types of stamped patterns. Main vessel forms include li tripods, dou vessels, basins, jars, bowls, and ding. Stone tools consist of adzes, axes, and whetstones. Bronze items include bronze awls, knives, dagger-axes, and spade coins. Additionally, remains of housing structures from the late Western Zhou and urn burials located around the houses were found. The site belongs to the Zhou culture. It was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in 1983 and as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in 1992.
