Shenjing

Shenjing [Ming Dynasty · District-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit, Shenjing Group, Shuangshan Village, Xingdian Subdistrict Office, Pukou District] is located beside a roadside ditch in Shenjing Group. According to Jiangpu Picheng, this well existed as early as the Ming Dynasty, and the village where it is located was named after the well. Villagers report that the well is about 30 meters deep. In recent years, with the widespread availability of tap water, the well has been abandoned for many years. The original well curb is no longer present—only a cement replacement remains—and most of the bricks in the well are still the original ones. It was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in 1983 and as a district-level one in 2002.
