Taizhuang Turtle Mound Site is a Nanjing Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Taizhuang Turtle Mound Site [West side of Taizhuang Group, Longshan Neighborhood Committee, Tangquan Subdistrict — Neolithic Age, Shang and Zhou Dynasties — District-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit] Commonly known as Turtle Mound, it covers an area of about 4,800 square meters, stands 2.5 meters high, and has a cultural layer 3–4 meters thick. Discovered in 1982. The upper and lower layers respectively represent Shang-Zhou and Neolithic remains. The Neolithic cultural relics include loosely textured red pottery plain basins, cord-marked jars, fragments of large ring-footed bean pots made of fine red clay with round perforations, red pottery spinning whorls with fingernail patterns, perforated stone axes, deer antler awls, willow-leaf-shaped stone arrowheads, and more. Shang and Zhou cultural relics include red pottery horn-shaped handles, flat cone-shaped tripod feet with finger-indent patterns, and ring-footed bowls made of gray fine clay. There are also coarse red pottery li tripods with sandy clay, semi-bellied cone feet, fine red pottery jars with thin cord markings, gray clay bowls, black-glazed pottery jars and small cups, black-glazed pottery basins with spouts and carved grooves, gray clay spinning whorls, geometric-patterned pottery jars and bowls, proto-porcelain beans, stepped stone adzes, stone axes, and stone sickles. In 1983, it was designated as a County-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit, in 2002 as a District-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit, and in 2012 as a Municipal-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
