The Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins in Pukou (Zhongdibu Platform) is a cultural heritage site protected by Nanjing Municipality.

The Pointing Generals’ Platform, anciently known as Zhongdibu Platform, is located on Puzi Mountain within the Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins area in Pukou District, Nanjing, between the ancient East Gate Town and ancient South Gate Town. It is a well-known local landmark in northern Nanjing.

Legend has it that during the Chu-Han Contention, the great general Han Xin once stationed his troops and planned his formations here, outsmarting Xiang Yu, the Hegemon-King of Western Chu; during the Southern Song Dynasty, Han Shizhong and Liang Hongyu also led volunteer troops to annihilate the Jin soldiers who were fleeing northward across the river. According to *Jiangpu Bicheng*, “Zhongdibu Platform is situated on the Pukou city wall, which stands atop Puzi Mountain. The platform is built on the ridge of the mountain, majestic and splendid, offering commanding views of the river and sky, with all things in sight — it is the premier scenic attraction in Pukou.”

Since 1984, the Pointing Generals’ Platform ruins have been listed as a cultural relics protection unit of Pukou District. It is now a municipal-level protected site in Nanjing and is included in the main planning for development along the northern section of the Yangtze River Scenic Area.
