Plum Blossom Garden on Plum Blossom Hill: Located at the southern foot of Zhongshan Mountain, outside Zhongshan Gate in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, the Plum Blossom Hill was established in 1929. Covering an area of over 400 acres, it boasts more than 13,000 plum trees of 230 varieties, ranking second only to Moshan in terms of the number of species, hence earning the title "Plum Blossom World." The hill is renowned for its unique plum varieties—such as the “semi-double sport branch,” which features as many as thirty or forty petals on a single flower, a phenomenon exclusive to this hill. There is also the “Clumsy Late Autumn” variety, whose flowers exhibit a white hue tinged with red. Other highlights include the “Cinnabar Plum” with its branches ablaze in crimson, the “Jade Butterfly Plum” known for its serene elegance, the “Palace Pink Plum” celebrated for its profuse blooms, and the “Dragon Swimming Plum” admired for its graceful, flowing form. A “Plum Viewing Pavilion” has been built on the hill, offering visitors a panoramic view of the sea of blossoms.
