The lush French plane trees lining the Central Avenue of Southeast University's Sipailou Campus, the Fountain Pool, and the Grand Auditorium are undoubtedly the most recognizable university scenes in the entire film. The road leading from the main gate of Southeast University is Central Avenue, shaded by the plane trees that block out the sun. On the left side of the road is a rather weathered library, and on the right is a grassy area, with the Fountain Pool and the Grand Auditorium coming into view. However, the Fountain Pool in front of the Grand Auditorium usually does not have water fountains unless there is a major event. The water in the Fountain Pool is an especially vivid shade of blue.

Most of the buildings on the Sipailou Campus of Southeast University are remnants of the former National Central University, exuding a strong historical charm. The Grand Auditorium of Southeast University features a solemn and majestic design in the style of Western classical architecture. Its façade is composed of Ionic columns and a pediment, topped with a large copper dome reminiscent of the European Renaissance, standing 34 meters high and capable of accommodating over 2,700 people. The construction of the Grand Auditorium was initially funded by Zhang Naiyan, the first president of the National Central University, and designed by the British firm Palmer & Turner. It was later completed under the supervision of Professor Lu Yujun from the Department of Architecture in 1931.
