Xia Ma Fang Relics Park is a cultural tourism attraction.

The site of Xia Ma Fang Relics Park is located in an area called Xiao Ling Wei. Situated outside Zhongshan Gate in Nanjing, over 600 years ago, “Xiao Ling Wei” was the designation of an elite military unit of the Ming Empire, holding a status no less significant than the imperial guards stationed in the capital. In those days, Xiao Ling Wei was an imperial restricted area, where nearly 6,000 elite soldiers were stationed, and all civil and military officials were required to dismount and walk on foot upon arrival. Such solemnity and reverence existed for one reason only — this was the entrance to the Xiaoling Mausoleum of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty.
