The new building of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum Museum officially opened in February 2009. The museum is housed in a renovated factory building that was formerly part of the Nanjing Watch Factory. It covers an area of approximately 5,000 square meters and consists of several sections, including the themed exhibition hall "The Great Ming Xiaoling," the "Guampu Ming-style Furniture Art Gallery," a 360-degree surround-screen cinema, a cultural bookstore, a cultural products supermarket, a temporary exhibition hall, and the "Great Ming Lifestyle Hall" (which features the Ming Dynasty Brocade Gallery and the Hongwu Great Ming Tribute Tea Tea Ceremony Gallery). The museum aims to present the legendary life of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, showcase the unique cultural charm of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, and interpret the profound essence of Ming culture through various perspectives and formats.
