Huangshan Lake Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, located at the southern foot of Huangshan Mountain in Jiangyin. Nestled against the mountain and overlooking the river, it forms part of the Jiangyin Fortress Tourist Resort along with Ebizui Park, the Yangtze River Highway Bridge, and Longtao International Country Club. Centered around a 150,000-square-meter artificial lake, Huangshan Lake features landform sculpting to create hills, hillside layouts, water management integrated with the terrain, and waterside scenery, all showcasing a grand and majestic atmosphere as well as a clear and tranquil ambiance. As a fully open park, Huangshan Lake has a total investment of 160 million yuan, covering an area of 35 hectares—including a 15-hectare lake surface, 15 hectares of green space, and 5 hectares of supporting facilities.

The overall green coverage rate of the park exceeds 80%. Natural ecology is a key theme of Huangshan Lake Park. Designed by Guangzhou Zhuyuan Design Institute and constructed by Shanghai Landscape Engineering Company and Shenzhen Beilin Landscape Engineering Company under the supervision of Shanghai Foreign Construction Supervision Consulting Company, the park officially opened to the public on May 1, 2004. Huangshan Lake seeks a perfect integration of ecological environment, pastoral poetry, and modern life.

Four major functional areas with over twenty scenic spots are arranged around the lake. The west side is the Waterside Scenic Area: from the Chess Viewing Corner, you can gaze across the golden waterway beneath the bridge where countless sails race by, with the distant view revealing the river-sea gateway and the strategic fortress that guards navigation—a place of historical military significance. Walking across the Yundyue Bridge stirs passion and vigor; strolling on the Chengguan Bridge brings enlightenment; and meandering along both sides of Sacred Dyke offers sweeping views, with a bridge soaring across the river, integrating sky and water in a majestic and spectacular scene. The east side is the Waterside Activity Area: play and relax at Golden Sand Bay; enjoy the gentle, melodious sounds of springs cascading over rocks. At the Oriental Ship Square, structures like the Cloud Sail Tower, Cloud Sail Pavilion, Silver Pearl Harbor, and Grand View Platform exude a harbor-city vibe; enjoy leisurely boat rides and pedal boats on the lake; watch cormorant fishing performances to experience the charm of the water town; and explore the modern, lively attractions such as the waterside stage and flowing restaurant.

The east and west zones offer contrasting atmospheres—dynamic and serene—each with endless charm. The south side is the Plaza Activity Area: walk through the fragrant camphor tree-lined avenue filled with vitality; sip tea at Guopu Thatched Cottage while appreciating the poetic imagery of “a village half-town, half-rural, nestled between mountain and water.” The Aquatic Plant Area: Han Chunwu and Qiushuitan showcase natural ecology; the Misty Rain Corridor Bridge adds a touch of romance. Huangshan Lake Park, with its beautiful waters, verdant mountains, tranquil forests, and unique rock formations, embodies an ecological philosophy of livability and enjoyment, creating a harmonious symphony between humans and nature. It stands as an emerald jewel at the river’s mouth and sea’s edge, as well as a picturesque scroll of a modern harbor city.
