The former residence of Wu Wenzao is located in Chengjiang Subdistrict. The sociologist Wu Wenzao spent his childhood and adolescence here. After getting married, he and his wife—writer Bing Xin—once lived here. Built in the 27th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1901), the structure features a brick-and-timber hard mountain-style design, originally consisting of three courtyards, side wings, and a central courtyard. In 2007, three main halls were restored, with a total area of 357.6 square meters.

Chengjiang Subdistrict: Located in the downtown area of Jiangyin, Chengjiang Subdistrict is home to the Jiangyin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, serving as the city’s political, economic, and cultural center. It covers a total area of 124.3 square kilometers (including the Chengdong New Town Office), and governs 49 community committees and 22 village committees. As of the end of 2008, it had a registered population of 229,403 and a migrant population of 108,458.
