Xu Xiake Expo Park is located in Mazhen, Xuxiake Town. Surrounded by water on three sides and shaped like a peninsula, the park covers a total area of 100 acres. Centered around the essence of Xu Xiake’s travel culture, the park explores themes such as Xu Xiake’s life journey, travel experiences, historical achievements, and later evaluations. It showcases the spirit of Xu Xiake and the essence of his travel culture primarily through inscribed stone tablet art.

Xu Xiake (January 5, 1587 – March 8, 1641), courtesy name Hongzu, style name Zhenzhi, also known as Xiake, was a Han Chinese from Jiangyin in Southern Zhili during the Ming Dynasty. Influenced by his father in his youth, Xu developed a love for reading history, geography, and adventure and travel literature. These books nurtured his early passion for China’s magnificent landscapes and inspired him to explore famous mountains and great rivers. The "Travel Diaries of Xu Xiake" document scenic spots, historical sites, and local customs across various regions. The day the Travel Diaries begin (May 19) has been designated as China Tourism Day. Xuxiake Town: Xuxiake Town (XūxiákèZhèn) is located in the southern part of Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province. It covers an area of 110 square kilometers, including 700 hectares of water surface, and has a registered population of 107,250.
