The Red Bean Tree is located in Hongdou Village, Gushan Town. The village is named after the tree, which has stood for a thousand years. It is the northernmost red bean tree in China in terms of latitude, representing a unique branch in botany. It is named “Dai’s Red Bean Tree” in the World Dictionary of Plants and is also called “Gushan Red Bean Tree.” The red beans from Gushan are round, red, crystal-clear, and almost gem-like. Known as a unique tree in the world, it is one of the “Three Wonders of Jiangyin.”
