Xuxiake Wetland Park

Xuxiake Wetland Park is located in Mazhen, Xuxiake Town. The park makes full use of the original wetland resources and the pristine "wild" atmosphere, blending in the charm of Jiangnan water towns with their small bridges and flowing streams to create a simple yet picturesque wetland landscape. It includes five major scenic areas: "Echoes of Expo," "Fragrant Shadows Untroubled," "Reed Catkins Flying Like Snow," "Lotus Breeze from All Directions," and "Plum Grove in Spring Dawn," preserving the original ecological wetland features quite well.

Xu Xiake (January 5, 1587 – March 8, 1641), whose given name was Hongzu, courtesy name Zhenzhi, and literary name Xiake, was a Han Chinese from Jiangyin, Southern Zhili (modern-day Jiangsu), during the Ming Dynasty. Influenced by his father in his youth, Xu developed a love for reading books on history, geography, exploration, and travel. These works nurtured in him from an early age a deep appreciation for the magnificent landscapes of his homeland and inspired his ambition to travel across famous mountains and great rivers. Xuxiake Town: Xuxiake Town (Xūxiákè Zhèn) is located in the southern part of Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of 110 square kilometers, including 700 hectares of water surface. It has a registered population of 107,250. The town government is situated at No. 67 Jinfeng Middle Road, Huangtang, 24 kilometers south of the municipal government office.
