Tianhua Cultural Center is a large-scale cultural complex with comprehensive modern cultural functions and an important part of Jiangyin’s urban living room. While named after the renowned Jiangyin cultural figure “Liu Tianhua,” the entire complex seeks a perfect integration of traditional Chinese music and architecture. In terms of appearance, the grand theater’s layout resembles the most popular musical instrument—the drum—while the 380-meter-long structure of the five halls stretches out like flowing melodies. A vibrant and poetic symphony drifts from here to every corner of the city, infusing the ancient city of Jiangyin with cultural richness.

Chengjiang Subdistrict: Located in the downtown area of Jiangyin, Chengjiang Subdistrict is home to the municipal Party committee and government offices, serving as the political, economic, and cultural center of the city. It covers a total area of 124.3 square kilometers (including the new Chengdong Subdistrict Office), and governs 49 community committees and 22 village committees. By the end of 2008, it had a registered population of 229,403 and a migrant population of 108,458.
