Lianyungang Yunlongjian Primitive Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Yunlongjian is located in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, and is an important part of the Yuntai Mountain Range. The scenic area covers 10 square kilometers, with a planned area of 16 square kilometers, and sits at an elevation of 326 meters. It is renowned for historical stories and mythological legends such as Tianhenggang, the Cloud-Borne Giant Buddha, the Tianquan Waterfall with a drop of over 40 meters, and Bailongjian, the largest canyon. It is hailed as Jiangsu’s “Zhangjiajie and Huangguoshu.”

The scenic area combines peculiar rocks, bizarre cliffs, emerald waters, heavenly springs, waterfalls, canyons, historical relics, and myths, presenting a magnificent landscape where mountains meet the sea and ruggedness contrasts with openness. With murmuring streams, cascading waterfalls, fragrant flowers and fruits, playful macaques, unique peaks and caves, and seas of clouds over grotesque rocks, the scenery is magical and breathtaking. The area boasts abundant wild vegetation, truly creating a primitive eco-tourism destination. Twin Cliffs, Stone Official, Fox Fairy Cave, -Mouth, Tiger Eye, White Dragon, Jade Rabbit, Lover’s Tree, Sea-Pacifying Pillar, and Elephant Trunk Rock all feature vivid and lifelike shapes that amaze visitors. Myths and legends such as the Young White Dragon Visiting His Mother, and those left behind by Jiang Ziya and the immortal Zhang Guolao, blend natural and cultural landscapes seamlessly.
